Deb Owen, who is a fellow blogger, HR guru and photography expert (she took the banner picture on the main page) has tagged me to list 8 random facts about me that might be interesting...so here it goes. BTW if any of you wanted to get in on the fun simply post a comment to this post with your 8 random facts.
- I have always been upset at my parents for naming me Stacy. I mean come on...that's not really a manly name! What about Jack, Jake, Tony, Steel, Stone, something with a little muscle. to it. Stacy? Come on Mom! I guess secretly I hope some day I have a daughter (their grand daughter)...maybe just to get them back I will name her Dick.
- I grew up in Hurley Wisconsin. It's famous for Winter sports like skiing and snowmobiles...not much else.
- While growing up in Hurley where there wasn't much to do I got involved in Karate...and got pretty darn good at it. I won the Diamond Nationals in 1998 (the world's largest Karate Tournament) and was on ESPN. Karate will always be in my blood.
- I am a freak about 2 things...Seeing the gas tank below the half tank mark...and pretty much going anywhere alone. I think I picked both of these habits up from the Army. Seriously, if I am going to the gas station...and there is someone else in the house I will ask them to come with me.
- I don't sleep very well...most of the time. I just can't get my brain to shut off. Sometimes, I try really hard to concentrate on a boring task like washing my car or painting a fence...50-50 success rate on that one.
- In the Army I was awarded the Order Of The Spur. Of all the awards and medals I have...this is the one that I am most proud of. In order to be selected for this honor, all current Spur Holders have to select you, then they put you through a grueling 3 day course to test your knowledge. If you pass, you are considered elite of the elite.
- My first car was a Renault Alliance...My First Job was working for my dad at our Budweiser distributorship...My first Kiss was with a girl named Tammie, My first girlfriend...dumped me, so did the next 3. My first love wasn't my last, and the First song I learned on the guitar was ONE by U2.
- I am a mystery wrapped in a riddle cloaked by an enigma...but not really.
